Veil of shadow is a good debuf skill that's passive, especially if you are doing piercing, cold and/or acid and poison damage. Military conditioning will give you more health and defensive ability, it needs a bit of investment, though 3 or 4 points will make a difference. Scars of battle is good for armour absorption alone, the other resistances are handy as well. Squad tactics is good for more attack speed, essential for dual wielders. Will probably give you a big boost to survivability at very little cost. So I would choose to either go cadence or weapon procs.ġ point into Menhirs will and attach a defence devotion like turtle to it, so it procs when you need it the most and isn't in cooldown when you do. You could reinvest those points into other things. Personally I think using Cadence as well as top row weapon procs is kind of a waste of points, if using cadence just choose one proc you like, otherwise they will proc so much your cadence will hardly ever and it's a great skill kind of going to waste with 40 invested points. Refarm your 2nd vine ring (necromancer/celerity one) with a resist affix, necro+celerity stat gives you basically nothing, so would be an easy fixįor one it's a very offensive build, there's not a lot of defensive stuff in skills or devotions. Getting more lifesteal can happen either "rushing" to 1pt whirling death in Nightblade, or grabbing toad devotion, Scales (leftside node) or fox (temporarily while levelling) Would be really nice to not have to use resist components in weapons so you can use Vicious Spike for dmg (again assuming your aim is pierce dmg) * since i don't know which factions you might be honoured with i didn't wanna put in weapon/jewellery augmentsĪside from that, should be relatively easy to fix resist with a few item swaps/upgrade, where you prioritize whatever missing resist you have Somewhat less optimal skill point distribution, easy fix Poor weapons, easy fix, go grab yourself 2x Derma Slicers from Homestead farms in the hive (assuming you want to be a pierce blademaster A high %-bonus is nice, but without flat values, it can only give you so much.No augments on weapons/jewellery, - easy fix if you are Honoured with any factions In that sense, the "power growth" of +%-modifiers fall off, if you dont increase your flat damage values accordingly.Ī similar case is flat health and %-health. Getting that extra +100 flat damage is not that difficult(sometimes it is just a new item with a good bonus, or upgrading a skill), while finding an extra +400% is a bit tougher and will usually require several items, devotions and the like to reach. If you have 200 fire damage with +500% fire damage, you have a total of 1200 damage. If you have 100 fire damage with +1000% fire damage, you have a total of 1100 damage. To add to this, a great way to showcase this is with a bit of math. It is just multiplication at work - if you've focused on % damage too much, of course flat damage or attack speed or something else will become more important than more % damage - they're all multipliers. There are no actual diminishing returns on % damage bonuses. Once you get to 1,500-2,000% you need to start focusing on gear with flat damage as that would increase your weapon damage more (and any skills that use %WD) and would gain more DPS than focusing on more % damage at that point. Originally posted by Befuddled Honey Badger:One thing, specifically for weapon choices, is that at 600% (iirc) damage you start getting diminishing returns per % damage. As long as it's up there and not lower than lvl 82. Yes one is blue lvl 82 and one is purple lv 94 but that is really just a number and color for me. So, both guns are great, because I have used both and if I want to put it in logical view, I use Myth Cruel Edge on my tank while Myth Bernoath, Reforged can be used for even dual wielding and basically everywhere else. Physical with chance of <+1k physical dmg Pure physical almost - DPS from grimtools - 321 to 483 If you don't care that much about DPS in general then the other gun with chance of +240% is good too.Īnd, I don't want to just put smart words here, then I will put some real deal as well. So it's more of a gamble of DPS there but also influence of personal taste, I guess. I personally would go with bigger DPS, because I will always deal that amount of DPS while with other one I may sometime deal big and sometime deal less. So if you have a choice to wield a gun which deals technically bigger DPS without chance of that giant damage or smaller DPS with chance of getting the big damage. Ok, so the chance of getting some of that +240% physical damage is good but it won't be on every gun.
